The Amici della Scala association, within the Together for culture project (TfC project), is promoting a competition for doctoral dissertations in musicology disciplines.

The competition is open to all those PhD graduates who have discussed their thesis in an Italian university in the 2009-2010 or 2010-2011 academic years, on subjects such as Music history, Ethnomusicology, Musical analysis, Aesthetics of Music, Musical dramaturgy and others similar disciplines.

All works will be judged by a panel of at least three respected academics. The winning dissertation will be presented at a public award ceremony in Milan and published on the TfC project’s website.

All applications must be delivered not later than 10 November 2012 at 5 pm.
